The 1907 Originals is an independent digital archive created not only to display Fenerbahçe shirts, but to document their details, periods and surviving traces in a structured way.
This archive focuses on the shirt history of one club. Rather than assembling unrelated pieces from different teams, the objective is to follow the development of Fenerbahçe shirts with greater continuity.
Colour proportions, stripe layouts, sponsor typography, crest applications, collar shapes and production details change from one period to another. Concentrating on one club makes those changes easier to read side by side.
Owning a shirt is not the same as archiving it. Archival work requires the object’s identity, season, model, present condition and known story to be recorded in a consistent structure.
The objective of The 1907 Originals is not simply to present shirts as visual objects. Each piece is identified with a stable collection code, verified information is separated from assumptions, and unresolved details are stated openly.
Vintage shirts may deteriorate over time. Sponsor prints may crack, namesets may lift, fabric may carry marks, and earlier interventions may alter the appearance of an object.
These traces are not always defects that should be hidden. A shirt’s present condition forms part of its history of use and preservation. When intervention is required, preserving the remaining original material takes priority over making the shirt appear new.
The 1907 Originals is a personal collection and independent digital archive project. It is not managed by Fenerbahçe Sports Club and has no official affiliation with the club.
The records on this site are based on physical shirts in the collection. Historical information is used only where it can be supported, and uncertain details are clearly marked as unresolved.
The archive will expand over time with original shirt photography, collar and label details, sponsor applications, condition documentation and researched season notes.
New pieces will be recorded with stable FEN codes as they enter the collection. Existing records will also be updated as more detailed photography and editorial material become available.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE
I did not build this archive simply to display the shirts I own. I wanted to record which period each piece belongs to, how it was produced, and what traces it has accumulated over time. A shirt carries more than colours and a crest; it also preserves the design language, football culture, and memory of the period in which it was made.
As the collection grew, I realised that storing the pieces was not enough. Documenting what I know, clearly marking what remains uncertain, and updating the records as better information becomes available became the foundation of this project.
The 1907 Originals began with my personal collection and gradually became an independent archive working to document Fenerbahçe shirt history in a more structured and accessible way.
