This policy explains what information is processed when you visit The 1907 Originals or use Google sign-in to participate in the comments system, and how that information is used.

About this notice

The 1907 Originals is an independent, non-commercial editorial archive documenting Fenerbahçe shirt history. This notice covers the site's public content and its optional commenting feature.

Information collected

You do not need an account simply to read the site. If you sign in with Google, the site may receive the basic account information needed for authentication, such as an account identifier, display name, profile image and email address.

If you submit a comment, the comment text, relevant story or shirt record, your account identifier, and submission or moderation dates are associated with that comment record.

Google sign-in

Google sign-in is used only to authenticate you and provide access to commenting. The site does not request access to your Gmail inbox, Google Drive files, contacts or unrelated content in your Google account.

Comments

Every submitted comment begins in a pending-review state. Comments are moderated against the archive's content and community standards before publication.

Approved comments may be displayed publicly on the relevant story or shirt record. Rejected comments are not displayed in the normal public comments area.

Public profile information

An approved comment may publicly display your Google display name, profile image, comment text and comment date. You should consider this visibility before submitting a comment.

Email privacy

Your email address is not displayed in comments, public profile data or other public areas of the site. It may be processed for authentication, account security and, when necessary, verification of a user request.

How information is used

Information is used to provide sign-in, associate comments with the correct account, display and manage comments, prevent abuse, maintain security and respond to user requests.

The 1907 Originals does not use this information to build advertising profiles, process payments or conduct email marketing.

Moderation

Administrators may approve, reject or delete comments. Comment access may be restricted for accounts involved in spam, harassment, unlawful content, or conduct that threatens the safety or quality of the archive.

Service providers

The site uses Google for authentication, Supabase for authentication, database and comments infrastructure, and Vercel for hosting and technical infrastructure. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices when delivering their services.

Data retention

Information may be retained for as long as needed to operate the service, moderate comments, maintain security and meet applicable obligations. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymised when technical and legal circumstances permit.

No fixed retention period is promised; the appropriate period may vary according to the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is processed.

User and comment deletion

Signed-in users can remove their own comments using the delete control in the comments area. You may use the contact address below to request deletion of an account or associated personal information.

Additional information may be requested to verify that an account belongs to you before a deletion request is completed.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures, including authentication, access rules and moderation, are used to reduce unauthorised access, alteration and abuse. No online system can, however, be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable rules, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information and may raise questions about its processing. Requests are considered subject to applicable exceptions and technical requirements.

Children's privacy

The service is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. Users should not include unnecessary personal information about themselves or others in comments.
